What is Industrial Automation?

Industrial automation is about using technologies and control systems, like robots and computers, to handle processes and machinery in an industrial setting. The goal is to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce manual labor.

It is a field that combines mechanics, electronics, and computer science to create systems that can run on their own with minimal human intervention.

What qualifications are required?

Working with automation requires a wide range of skills. Typically, this includes:

  • Understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming in languages like Ladder Logic, FBD, or SCL.
  • Knowledge of robotics, sensors, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
  • The ability to read and design technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills to diagnose and fix errors in complex systems.
What is Factory I/O?

Factory I/O is a 3D simulation platform that allows you to build and control virtual factories. It is a fantastic tool for learning and experimenting with industrial automation in a safe and cost-effective environment. You can design your own production lines, connect them to real or virtual PLCs, and watch your programs come to life.

What can we offer?

We offer tailored training in Factory I/O and basic PLC programming. Whether you are a student looking to get an edge or a hobbyist curious about automation, we can put together a course that fits your level.

Already have a project in mind? You are also welcome to come and work independently on our equipment by appointment. We provide the software and the necessary guidance.
